Studio 2 is our dedicated recording and production space, ideal for solo artists, producers, and bands looking to record, mix, or produce music in a professional and affordable setting.

Studio Support
Need extra assistance? We can connect you with experienced sound technicians to help you get the most out of your session, whether you’re recording, mixing, or learning the basics of music production. Additionally, we provide opportunities for developing sound technicians to gain hands-on experience by assisting Studio 2 customers under the guidance of experienced professionals. Cost for a sound technicians services is dictated by the technician.
If you require a sound technician for your session in Studio 2, please provide the following details when making your inquiry:
– Requested session length
– Preferred date and time (if any)
– Music/Recording genre
– Budget (optional)
– Recording or production requirements
– Whether you’d be happy to work with a trainee engineer

Are you an aspiring sound technician eager to gain real-world experience? We offer opportunities for emerging sound techs to assist with projects, allowing you to develop practical skills in a professional studio environment. You’ll have the chance to collaborate with musicians, expand your knowledge, and gain hands-on experience. If you’re interested, get in touch with us!
Important: Noise from Main Hall Activities
Please note that Studio 2 is located within a lively community centre. While we have taken steps to minimise noise interference, some sound from main hall activities may still be heard. If you require a quieter session, we recommend checking our schedule or contacting us in advance.

What makes us different?
We are part of Cathays Youth and Community Centre, alongside the practice rooms we also have a large hall, meeting rooms, cafe, kitchens.
The community centre used by wealth of different groups including: Youth clubs, Play groups, political parties, special needs groups, Musical performances, Dance classes, Religious groups, Recording studios, wrestling, break dance, arts and drama. And by using us you will be supporting a voluntary charitable organisation that does great work great work in it’s community.
